Our beds are designed with safety as our top priority. Each sleeping surface is tested to hold up to 400 lbs of resting weight — that's 400 lbs for the top bunk and 400 lbs for the bottom bunk independently, not a combined total. Our beds are equipped with solid pine, seven- 9 inches apart slats, and metal support bars. We offer an upgraded slat roll that has fourteen slats -2.5 inches apart. We offer this for customers who use softer foam mattresses that may need the added surface area.
